IHR fans,
From all of us at Ice House Road to all of you, Happy New Year. We finished up 2010 rocking a New Years Eve Party at The Dogwood in Palmyra Virginia. The crowd was great, Snooky on the big screen was, uhh, well, Snooky on the big screen, and we had a fantastic time playing some music for everybody there.
The very next night we drove up to Wintergreen resort and rocked The Edge restaurant. On the way up the mountain we encountered some VERY dense fog. We weren't sure if it was snow from the snow blowers on the slopes getting blown around by the intense wind, or if it was really fog, so Gary decided to call it SNOG. We couldn't stop saying SNOG all night.
It was awesome to play a show with a real soundman. Rezz from Innovative Audio and Sound provided all the amplification, speakers, mics, cords, monitors, and the "magic" button on his soundboard that made us sound like we knew what were doing. All we had to do was show up with our instruments and perform.
I think we gave away just about the last of the 500 CDs we had printed earlier this year up at Wintergreen. And hopefully some of those CDs are being listened to right now. And maybe somebody listening to it is thinking, 'man, these guys are great' and is considering hiring us to play at their next party. If that's you, please contact us at IceHouseRoad.net
We are taking the month of January off. Mainly because Bobby has to fighting some bulls in Oklahoma, build a fence, then fight some bulls in Tennessee. Did I mention that Bobby Sims is the SEBRA Bullfighter of the year for 2010. That's right folks. Congrats to Bobby. To see what he did to earn this award, click here. And click here for more info on the SEBRA finals, where Bobby will showcasing his skills, click here.
We already have one show scheduled for the rest of 2011. We'll be back at The Dogwood in late February.
Hope to see you all there.
Adam "J.R." Stoffel
